Government Policies and Schemes

In March 2024, Rajasthan saw the implementation and introduction of several key government schemes. The state government renamed the Rajiv Gandhi Academic Excellence Scholarship Scheme to the Swami Vivekananda Academic Excellence Scholarship Scheme. The Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya (Maa-Voucher) Scheme, operated by the Department of Medical and Health, is set to be implemented across the state from April 2024. Initially, this scheme was piloted in Baran, Bharatpur, and Phalodi. Its main objective is to provide free sonography tests for pregnant women in areas where government hospitals lack this facility, using QR code-based e-vouchers at private centers. The scheme aims to promote safe motherhood and reduce infant and maternal mortality rates. Additionally, the Shri Krishna Bhog Yojana was introduced to encourage public participation in the mid-day meal program in government schools.
