Account Information: Name, email address, and profile picture when you sign in with Google.
Educational Preferences: Class/grade, board (CBSE/ICSE/State), and subject preferences selected during onboarding.
Usage Data: Content interactions, quiz scores, streaks, and learning activity to personalize your experience.
Device Information: Device type, OS version, and app version for technical support and optimization.

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide personalized educational content based on your class and subjects.
Track learning progress, streaks, and achievements.
Enable social features like following, posts, and study groups.
Improve our platform and content recommendations.
Send important notifications about your account and learning.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers (Microsoft Azure). We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for data in transit and follow best practices for data at rest. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

Google Sign-In: For authentication. We receive your name, email, and profile picture.
Cloudflare: For content delivery and security.
Azure AI Services: For generating educational content summaries and explanations.

5. Advertising & Google AdSense

We use third-party advertising, including Google AdSense, to help keep ConceptScroll free for students. These partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to ConceptScroll and/or other sites on the Internet.
Third-party vendors and ad networks may also use cookies to serve ads based on your interests.

6. Children's Privacy

ConceptScroll is designed for students aged 11 and above (classes 6–12). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you are under 13, please use this app with parental guidance. We do not serve personalized (interest-based) advertising to users we identify as under the age of 18; such users are shown only non-personalized ads where ads are displayed.

7. Your Rights

Access and download your personal data.
Request correction or deletion of your account and data.
Opt out of non-essential notifications.
Opt out of personalized advertising (see the Advertising section above).
Control your profile visibility (public/private).

8. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law.
