Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is the national-level undergraduate engineering entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) twice a year. It is the first step toward admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). JEE Main also serves as the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced, which is the gateway to IITs. Over 12 lakh candidates appear for this exam every year, making it one of the most competitive exams in India.
Eligibility Criteria
| Education | Class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Minimum 75% marks (65% for SC/ST). |
| Age Limit | No upper age limit. Must have passed Class 12 in 2023, 2024, or appearing in 2025. |
| Attempts | Maximum 3 consecutive years from the year of Class 12 passing. |
