Dimensions of Health
Health is a multidimensional concept that includes physical, mental, and social well-being. This section elaborates on these three dimensions. Physical health refers to the proper functioning of the body and its organs, absence of disease, and the ability to perform daily activities effectively. Mental health involves emotional and psychological well-being, including the ability to cope with stress, work productively, and contribute to the community. Social health is concerned with how well an individual interacts with others and functions within society. It includes social skills, relationships, and support systems that help individuals manage stress and solve problems. A society with equal opportunities and access to goods and services essential for health is also a part of social health. The section highlights that good health is not just the absence of illness but a holistic state of well-being across these dimensions, which are interrelated and influence each other.
